We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming secondary school in the Bury area. This full-time position will run from September 2025 until the end of the 2025/2026 academic year, with a strong possibility of leading to a school-based contract.

• Support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to whole classes in the absence of a teacher

• Provide targeted intervention and small-group support

• Assist with planning and assessment under teacher guidance

• Support behaviour management and classroom routines

• Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience

• Proven experience working in UK secondary schools

• Confident leading classes and supporting pupils of varying abilities

• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and independently when required

• Full-time availability from September 2025

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or EAL

• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities where appropriate
