Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our partner primary school in Wisbech. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our teaching staff and enhancing the learning experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher, covering PPA time and short-term absences.
• Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons.
• Support individual students and small groups to achieve their learning goals.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Assist with classroom management and organization.
• Participate in school activities, including outings and events.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
