Higher Level Teaching Assistant HLTA

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Epping to recruit an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for their KS1 and KS2 teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real impact on pupils' progress while working within a committed and friendly staff team.

We encourage applications from experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who are ready for the next challenge and transition into an HLTA role. While a Level 3 qualification is preferred, the school values hands-on experience and a proactive approach over formal qualifications.

About the role:

• Lead a class for at least a couple days a week in KS1 and KS2.
• Deliver targeted interventions alongside class teachers.
• Create engaging learning resources to support academic progress.
• Work closely with the SENCo to assist pupils with SEN and EAL needs.
• Set learning targets and provide assessment feedback.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an HLTA or LSA is desirable.
• Strong initiative and the ability to take on responsibility.
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning is ideal but not essential.
