Daily Pay: £150 - £220 (dependent on experience)

Are you a dedicated and passionate History Teacher ready for a fresh challenge this September? A well-regarded secondary school in Southport is seeking a skilled educator to join their humanities department for a maternity cover role starting in Autumn 2025.

This is a brilliant opportunity to teach in a supportive, forward-thinking school where historical thinking and enquiry are at the heart of the curriculum.

• Delivering engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teaching key topics including Medieval, Early Modern, and 20th Century History.
• Preparing students for GCSE assessments, including exam skills and content mastery.
• Creating a classroom environment where students ask big questions and think critically.
• Using creative resources, storytelling, and primary sources to enhance understanding.
• Marking, assessing, and tracking student progress.
• Contributing to departmental meetings and occasional extra-curricular events.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
• A degree in History or a related subject.
• Experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3/KS4 essential).
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for making History relevant and exciting.
• Ability to motivate and engage learners of all abilities.
• A proactive and professional approach to planning and assessment.
