Homelessness & Housing Solutions Officer - Local Authority

We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority to appoint an experienced Homelessness & Housing Solutions Officer to join their Housing Services Team!

Role Overview:

Within this role, you'll provide professional, customer-focused homelessness and housing solutions, prioritising prevention and relief. You'll be the first point of contact, handling inquiries, resolving cases where possible, and coordinating referrals when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the council meets its legal housing and homelessness obligations.
• Support Homelessness, Housing Solutions, Voids, Allocations & Lettings teams.
• Deliver high-quality, customer-centric housing advice with a focus on equality and respect.
• Manage inbound calls professionally within service level targets.
• Secure temporary accommodation for emergency homelessness cases.
• Promote and assist customers in using digital self-service options.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in Homeless & Housing Solutions
