Housing Case Investigator

Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting a Housing Case Investigator for our client - Private Rented Sector (3-Month initial contract)

Location: Onsite in Birmingham (3 days/week) + Remote (2 days/week)
Contract: Initial 3 months
Clearance: Basic DBS required

We're looking for experienced and driven Housing Case Investigators to join a proactive enforcement team tackling non-compliance in the private rented sector.

What you'll do:

• Investigate unlicensed properties and lead on complex enforcement cases
• Conduct inspections and manage enforcement action, including issuing Civil Penalties and legal proceedings
• Tackle anti-social behaviour linked to privately rented properties through multi-agency working
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous service improvement

What we're looking for:
? Proven experience in housing enforcement or environmental health
? Strong understanding of Housing Act 2004, HHSRS, and property licensing regulations
? Confident handling legal processes and representing cases in court
? Skilled in multi-agency collaboration and problem-solving
