Job Description - Housing Officer

Housing Officer

Stoke on Trent

Role and key responsibilities for Housing Officer

Visiting tenants in their own homes
Receiving and investigating complaints and incidents of Anti Social Behaviour or other tenancy condition breaches
Completing fire safety audits
attending meetings, case conferences, working parties, court hearings, tenancy review hearings and evictions as directed
Supporting tenants with vulnerabilities
Attending child protection conferences
Recovery of rent arrears and maximisation of rental and other income for all council services

Minimum Requirements for Housing Officer

Previous experience required
Previous experience using NEC database (advantageous)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational skills
Possess detailed knowledge and understanding of Housing Management
Ability to prioritise own workload
Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
Ability to deal with stressful and emotional situations

Pay rate: £16.26 - £17.51 per hour

Working hours:
Part time 18h per week

Part time: 18 hours per week between
Monday - Friday
09:00 - 17:00
