Specialist Housing Officer, supporting older residents and delivering a high-quality housing management service.
THE ROLEAs a Specialist Housing Officer, you will deliver a responsive, resident-focused service within the Older Adults Schemes, helping to sustain tenancies, improve wellbeing, and support independent living.
- Carry out assessments for referred residents and coordinate viewings and lettings
- Conduct tenancy sign-ups and create tailored housing and wellbeing plans
- Assist residents with maximising income and accessing benefits
- Liaise with care agencies and build professional partnerships
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained in homes and communal areas
- Support tenancy management and investigate breaches
- Promote resident engagement through events and meetings
- Handle queries and complaints to ensure a positive resident experience
THE CANDIDATEWe’re looking for someone with previous experience in a similar housing role, ideally within supported or older persons’ housing schemes.
- Experience delivering housing management or tenancy support services
- Strong understanding of welfare benefits and income maximisation
- Skilled in partnership working with external support and care agencies
- Able to work independently with a high level of professionalism
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
THE CONTRACTWorking Hours: Tuesday–Thursday (9am–5pm), Friday (9am–2pm), 26 hours per week
Length of Contract: 3-month contract, with potential for extension
The pay for the role is £15.66 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £13.44 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
