Housing Officer

Empower tenants to manage their finances and maintain rent payments Collaborate with key partners to provide comprehensive support and advice Represent the council in exceptional cases, ensuring fair and ethical practices

Preferred Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with tenants
• Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and address complex financial issues
• Proficiency in rent account monitoring, liaison with Housing Benefit, DWP, and Jobcentre
• Expertise in providing income maximisation, money advice, debt counselling, and referrals to specialist agencies
• Ability to conduct home visits and maintain regular telephone contact with tenants
