Housing Options Advisor

We are recruiting for an exciting role of Housing Options Advisor (Temporary Accommodation) with our client in Solihull area. This is a temporary position within the Housing Options division.

Location: Solihull
Pay Rate: £15.38 (PAYE) or £19.05 (Umbrella) per hour
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Temporary until the end of September
Work mode: hybrid with on-site and site visit requirement

Key Highlights of the Role:

1. Provide front-line housing advice and support to customers in temporary accommodation.
2. Assess housing needs and offer solutions in line with housing law and organisation's policies.
3. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to secure appropriate housing options.
4. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with data protection and health & safety standards.

Requirements:

1. Experience in temporary accommodation
2. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
3. Experience in customer service, ideally within housing or public services.
4. Knowledge of housing law, homelessness legislation, and welfare benefits.
5. Ability to work independently and manage sensitive situations.
6. Must have a full driving licence, access to a car, and be willing to obtain business car insurance.
7. Flexibility to travel across the borough.
