Housing Paralegal

Service Care Solutions is working alongside a thriving London Borough Council, based in South-East London, which is seeking a skilled Paralegal to join their housing team for maternity cover. As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in managing a caseload of mixed disrepair and housing cases under supervision.

Role: Housing Paralegal
Umbrella Rate: £25-£30ph
PAYE Inc. Holiday Rate: £22.32-£26.67ph
Contract Length: 12 months
Location: South-East London

Key responsibilities of the Housing Paralegal role:

• Manage a caseload of 40 mixed disrepair and housing cases (supervised by the Principal Lawyer/Senior Lawyer.
• Drafting defences, witness statements and application notices, settling claims and dealing with costs issues.
• Attending legal, income and housing management meetings.

Required Skills:

• Law degree or graduate diploma in law.
• Knowledge of housing, disrepair, and EPA prosecutions.
• Experience in drafting legal documents such as defences, witness statements, and application notices.
