Job Description - Housing Register Officer

Do you have experience as a Housing Register Officer? Do you have a good knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 part VI? I'm excited to be able to recruit for my clients who are looking for an experienced Housing Register Officer to join the Housing Needs team. This role is at the forefront of homeless prevention and will be helping reduce homelessness in your local community.

Key Duties:

  • Completing assessments of applicants to join the Housing Register.
  • Assess households who do not qualify for the housing register and provide them with advice about alternate housing options.
  • Determine wait time, level of preference, and any special factors which may affect their applications.
  • Providing in depth, comprehensive advice for those on the housing register.
  • Notify people on any decisions made on their application.
