This is a 4\-5 month contract role with a local authority, focused on advancing sites for the Councilâs Housing Client. The position involves facilitating large\-scale regeneration and estate infill new\-build housing schemes in collaboration with the Capital Delivery Team (CDT). The role is crucial for coordinating and monitoring housing projects to ensure that Housing Client requirements, such as design quality, funding conditions, estate management considerations, and consultation, are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Initiate and coordinate regeneration and estate infill schemes, managing project inception, feasibility, and consultation.
Prepare and contribute to Housing Client briefs, ensuring clear objectives, budgets, timescales, and delivery parameters.
Ensure projects meet key requirements, including unit mix, design quality, funding/grant conditions, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Oversee operational continuity throughout project planning, design, construction, and handover stages.
Manage partnerships with internal services, CDT, Government agencies, GLA, RSLs, community groups, and consultants.
Coordinate approvals, brief senior managers and Members, and prepare progress reports.
Requirements
Strong track record of project management within a capital build environment.
Experience collaborating with internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders across public and private sectors on regeneration projects.
Experience conducting feasibility studies, site identification, option appraisals, and Masterplanning.
Experience managing staff, consultants, and budgets, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Educated to degree level and/or significant relevant professional experience.
Project management and/or relevant technical qualification or substantial equivalent experience.
