Job Description - HR Advisor

New HR Advisor role, based in London (NW)

I am delighted to be working with one of my clients, as they look to recruit for a HR Advisor on an temporary basis.

This role is a temporary to permanent, depending on performance.

Salary - up to £45k per annum (FTE)

Working pattern - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

Term - Full time

The HR Advisor with work collaboratively with the Chief People Officer, acting as a main point of contact for all HR related matters.

Candidates will need to be AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY or have a ONE WEEKS NOTICE PERIOD

HR Advisor:

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the first point of contact for advice and support on HR/ ER issues, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.
  • Provide guidance and support on performance management and absence management to maintain productivity and compliance.
  • Provide support to the Chief People Officer with complex employee relations (ER) and organizational change processes
  • Build strong relationships with managers and employees to address concerns and promote effective resolutions.
  • Conduct investigations, disciplinary processes, and grievance hearings with professionalism and discretion in line with HR best practice.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.

Experience required:

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor role, with the competency to support all aspects of the employee lifecycle
  • Demonstrate the ability to navigate and contribute effectively to complex employee relations (ER) matters and organizational change initiatives
  • CIPD or HR related qualification, would be advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of UK employment legislation.
  • Experienced in working within a unionised environment, desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Outgoing, approachable, and proactive personality to make an immediate impact.
