Job Description - HR Business Partner

One of our largest public sector clients, based in London, is seeking to recruit an HR Business Partner to join their team on an initial six-month contract. This full-time role, Monday to Friday, offers a hybrid working arrangement with 2-3 days per week in the office located in Southwark/London Bridge.

Pay rate: £306.71 per day via PAYE or£400 per day via Umbrella

About the Role: Our public sector client is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner to join their team. This role is pivotal in driving the HR agenda and supporting the organisation's strategic objectives. As an HR Business Partner, you will work closely with senior leaders and managers to provide expert HR advice and support, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Support: Partner with senior leaders to understand their business needs and provide strategic HR guidance to support organisational goals.
  • Employee Relations: Manage complex employee relations issues, providing advice and support to managers and ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
  • Talent Management: Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop high-calibre staff.
  • Performance Management: Support the implementation of performance management processes, ensuring that performance reviews are conducted effectively and development plans are in place.
  • Change Management: Lead and support organisational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and engagement with staff.
  • HR Policy Implementation: Ensure HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to across the organisation.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Promote and support diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring an inclusive workplace culture.
  • HR Projects: Lead and participate in HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR services.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: CIPD qualified or equivalent experience in HR management.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role, preferably within the public sector.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills. Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex HR issues.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and manage multiple priorities.
