Job Description - HR Data Analyst

A public sector organisation based in London are currently looking for a HR Data Analyst Resourcing Partner to join in initial 2-month contracts (potential for extension).

The roles offer hybrid working (2 days a week in the office) and an hourly rate up to £33 per hour via an Umbrella company (Inside IR35 and PAYE option also available).

We are looking for a skilled HR Data Analyst to join our public sector organisation on a contract basis. The successful candidate will support the HR Data Team in managing and analyzing data, ensuring the smooth transition and parallel running of our HR systems. This role is crucial in maintaining data integrity and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Management

  • Understand iTrent data to support the creation and maintenance of Business Object reports.
  • Carry out ad-hoc queries using available tools to support work during the parallel run period of Cyborg and iTrent.
  • Demonstrate full competence in joining and matching data to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Build views and join tables using the iTrent database (desirable).

Analysis of Data and Information

  • Assist in building regular reports, audit, and validation reports to support the parallel running and go-live of iTrent for both people data and position/organisation structure data.
  • Undertake reconciliation between existing Cyborg reports and new iTrent reports to enable sign-off.

Management Information

  • Query and extract data using Business Objects skills.
  • Maintain data, queries, and working files in an orderly, consistent, and agreed manner to facilitate team collaboration.
  • Build reports using SSRS and PowerBi (desirable).

Experience and Skills:

  • Advanced experience working with iTrent data, particularly HR and Position Management/Org Structure data, and understanding its relationship to Payroll data.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Business Objects.
  • Experience in using and maintaining business intelligence tools.
  • Proficiency in using SQL to query large datasets and create reports that summarize and assist in data consumption. Experience with SSRS or similar analytics tools is desirable.
  • Knowledge and ability to integrate analytics tools to provide a Business Intelligence environment (e.g., creating and using Excel spreadsheets with SQL data connections and joined pivot tables) is desirable.
