HR Generalist

We are delighted to assist our client in Sussex in their search for a skilled HR Generalist to join their team on a 6-month temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who is adept at managing a wide range of human resources functions and is looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
• Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conduct new-employee orientations; monitor career-pathing program and write and place advertisements.
• Handle employee relations counselling, outplacement counselling, and exit interviewing.
• Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars. Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
• Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an HR Generalist.
• Demonstrable experience with HR metrics.
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
• Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
• In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
• Degree in Human Resources or related field.
