HR Specialist

Job: HR Specialist
Company: BAE Systems
Hourly Rate: Competitive - to be confirmed
Location: Scotstoun - 3 days per week
Contract: 9/12 months (Opportunity to be extended)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
• Support employee relations cases including grievances, disciplinaries, and absence management.
• Advise on recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning needs.
• Assist with performance management processes and improvement plans.
• Monitor sickness, holiday, and other employee absences.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in organisational change or restructure
• Experience in largescale, unionised environments
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Confidence to advise and influence managers at all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
