Immediate Assistant Accountant

Located in Newcastle under Lyme, an exciting opportunity has been brought to us by our fast growing services client to support the finance function following a busy acquisition period.

Our client is searching for an experiences transnational accountant to strengthen the new and growing team through this busy time of change, initially on a temporary basis. This role will be a varied role, lending your strong accounting knowledge where needed whilst primarily supporting the transnational finance team, mainly focusing on purchase ledger but also working with the accounts payable team and central finance team where needed.

The ideal candidate for this position will hit the ground running straight away, using your advanced knowledge of Sage and Excel you will ensure all accounts are reconciled, monthly journals are prepared and posted and both the Purchase and Sales ledgers are managed. You will have experience double entry bookkeeping in a similar role.

Ideally, you will:

• Have recent and relevant Accounts Assistant knowledge
• Feel comfortable handling accounts payable and receivable, processing payments and reconciling the bank and credit accounts
• Have a dynamic and adaptable attitude
• Be a confident and effective communicator with a range of internal and external stakeholders
