If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as an Inclusion Room Behaviour Mentor at our vibrant secondary school in East London.

About the Role:

As an Inclusion Room Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students who have been referred to the Inclusion Room due to behavioural challenges. You will provide guidance, structure, and support to help them reflect on their actions, develop positive coping strategies, and successfully reintegrate into the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

? Supervise and support students within the Inclusion Room, ensuring a calm and structured environment.
? Implement behaviour management strategies to help students regulate their emotions and develop resilience.
? Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to create tailored intervention plans.
? Act as a positive role model, promoting self-discipline and positive behaviour choices.
? Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
? Support the wider school ethos of inclusion, ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed.

? Experience working with young people, particularly in a school or mentoring capacity.
? Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
? A patient, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach.
? Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
? A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
