Income Assistant – Initial 6 week contract
Office-Based initially | £150 per day (via umbrella)

An established and respected organisation is looking for an Income Assistant to join their busy finance team on a fixed-term contract. This is a full-time, initialoffice-based role located in the Hemel Hempstead area.

About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, working across multiple systems to support daily banking, invoicing, and reconciliations. You’ll help maintain robust financial controls, liaise with internal teams and customers, and contribute to month-end processes and debt reduction efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process rebates, refunds, and sundry invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
• Manage daily bank reconciliations and takings for multiple accounts.
• Handle journal entries and investigate variances.
• Provide documentation for chargeback cases and report outcomes.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve queries.
• Support the month-end and year-end financial close.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.

What You’ll Bring:

• Solid experience in accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of financial systems (e.g. ERPx, Seaware) and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• High attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills.
• A customer-focused mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with reconciliation tools or systems such as Zonal.
• AAT qualification or similar.
• Experience in a high-volume or multi-site environment.
