About the Role

As a Business and Governance Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery and improvement of housing services. In parallel, you will be instrumental in governance-related activity such as reviewing policies and procedures, managing complaints and member enquiries, supporting FOI responses, and driving service transformation initiatives-particularly those that shift services online.

This role combines operational delivery with strategic thinking, making it ideal for someone looking to develop a broad and impactful career within local government housing services.

  • Coordinate responses to complaints, FOI requests, and member enquiries.

  • Review, develop, and implement policies and procedures.

  • Support service transformation projects, particularly those focused on digitalisation.

  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to business planning.

About You

You will bring:

  • Experience in rent/service charge administration and performance reporting.

  • A strong understanding of housing services and local government operations.

  • Proficiency with housing systems, Excel, and business reporting tools.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
