Independent Reviewing Officer

The Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Unit near Cheshire is seeking a suitably experienced Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to provide temporary cover during the recruitment of a permanent postholder.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IRO to join a supportive team. Please note that the roles of IRO and Child Protection Conference Chair are separate. This means the successful candidate will focus solely on reviewing care plans for children in care and will not be expected to chair CP conferences or LADO meetings.

The role involves chairing a mix of virtual and face-to-face reviews, including those in out-of-area placements. You will also be expected to maintain meaningful contact with children prior to reviews and liaise effectively with families and professionals throughout the process.
