Innovation Designer

London - Hybrid (Twice a month in office)

6-month contract

Daily Rate: £600 inside umbrella

Are you passionate about driving innovation and fostering cultural change? Our client is seeking a dynamic Innovation Designer to join their team and lead the charge in developing sustainable energy solutions that make a real difference. Key Responsibilities:

• Idea Development: Identify and nurture innovative ideas, guiding them through various design phases to proof of concept. Ensure that all initiatives align with our client's mission of promoting sustainable energy.
• Cultural Change Agent: Act as a catalyst for transformation within the organisation. Advocate for a progressive and open-minded approach to innovation that inspires and motivates team members.
• Community Building: Establish and support a cross-business innovation community. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among teams to cultivate a culture of innovation.
• Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams, driving the development of innovative concepts that meet strategic objectives. Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Strategic Planning: Develop strategic roadmaps for innovation initiatives, ensuring they are viable and have the potential for scalable impact in the marketplace.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders at all levels to secure buy-in for innovative projects and cultural change initiatives. Build strong relationships to foster collaboration.
• Communication: Communicate progress and insights effectively, translating technical complexities into clear, actionable information suitable for diverse audiences.
• Agile Adaptation: Champion agile principles within the Innovation Team, ensuring rapid responses to new opportunities and the ability to pivot as necessary.
• Innovation Management: Demonstrate proven ability to manage projects from ideation through to proof of concept, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Cultural Leadership: Contribute to or lead cultural change initiatives within the organisation to promote an innovative mindset.
• Technical Insight: Familiarity with various technologies and how they can be applied to solve business challenges is preferred.
• Stakeholder Engagement: utilise strong communication skills to engage stakeholders at various levels and drive innovation efforts.
• Agile Approach: Experience in practising Agile product development methodologies is essential.
• Customer Insight: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and gather feedback, using these insights to inform and enhance innovation initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Innovation, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in innovation design or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of sustainable practises and technologies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in leading projects and teams effectively.
