Job Description - Interim Accountant

We are working with an established retail business in Bishop’s Stortford that needs a hands-on, qualified accountant to join them for a three-month temporary contract.
This is ideal for someone with strong SME experience who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
The Role

Full ownership of management accounts
Balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow, accruals, and prepayments
Support with year-end preparation and external accountants
Assist operational teams with budgeting, forecasting, and finance queries

What We Are Looking For

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
Solid experience within retail or SME environments
Confident using systems such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
Proactive, hands-on, and happy to take ownership
Available to start immediately or at very short notice
