Interim Accountant

Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are working with an established SME group of companies in North Nottinghamshire to recruit an interim Accountant for 6 months.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a wide range of finance tasks including month-end, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals & prepayments, audit support, ad hoc reports and analysis and supporting the transactional processing teams as required. The organisation are currently undertaking a broad programme of process improvement so you will be actively involved in mapping and transforming the production and communication of financial matters. There will also be extensive business partnering with non-finance stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have recent and relevant management and financial accounting, reporting and analysis experience ideally gained in a manufacturing setting. You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills (ERP systems, Excel) and previous experience in process improvement/systems changes would be highly desirable. You will be available to start working immediately and be living in close commute of the North Nottinghamshire area as the role is office-based.
