Interim Accounts Payable Officer

Robertson Bell are pleased to be working with a fantastic public sector organisation, based in South London, in their search for a Temporary Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team on an initial six-month contract.

This is a brilliant opportunity to bring your accounts payable expertise into a friendly, collaborative finance function, offering a hybrid working pattern of three days in the office and two from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and code high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
• Ensure all staff expenses are reviewed, processed and paid in line with internal policy
• Complete regular bank reconciliations to support the month-end close
• Manage and reconcile credit card expenses, ensuring compliance and timely submission
• Support the wider finance team with ad hoc duties and administrative tasks as required

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have proven experience working within an accounts payable or transactional finance role
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of data
• Be comfortable working independently as well as part of a collaborative team
• Possess strong Excel skills and be confident using finance systems
• Be immediately available or on a short notice period
