Interim Bid Manager

Day Rate: £350 per day via umbrella inside IR35

Location: Abingdon (flexible on home working)

Job Type: Contract (3 months initially)

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead the strategy, governance, and completion of multiple bids within the education technology sector.
  • Write and manage high-quality bid responses, ensuring alignment with company goals and client needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships across various departments to ensure comprehensive and cohesive bid submissions.
  • Matrix manage members of the extended bid team, including HR, finance, and subject matter experts.
  • Prepare colleagues for bidders' days and bid presentations, ensuring all team members are aligned and well-prepared.
  • Develop timelines for bids, prioritising effectively across the team and business.
  • Identify win themes and strategies to enhance bid success rates.
  • Support the Head of Bid Management with ad hoc duties and project requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bid writing and bid management.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of TUPE regulations and their implications.
  • Experience within IT or technical industries, preferably in an educational context.
  • Solid understanding of financial models and their application in bid processes.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and project management skills
