Interim Commercial Pricing Analyst

London Hybrid - 3 month FTC

£40,000 - £50,000 per annum (Pro Rata)

Our client, a well respected legal firm, is looking for an interim commercially minded and analytically driven individual to join their team in a dynamic finance role supporting pricing, matter management, and strategic decision-making.

In this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance, Commercial Finance, and Business Development to deliver insights that drive performance and support legal teams in delivering value to clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analysing and modelling financial data across clients, matters, and portfolios to support pricing, resourcing, and planning decisions
• Delivering insights and recommendations that enhance client relationships and financial outcomes
• Preparing pricing estimates for straightforward matters and supporting more complex proposals
• Maintaining and improving Excel-based pricing tools and supporting their use across the firm
• Responding to pricing queries and offering practical guidance to legal teams
• Setting up and testing billing and cost rates in the firm’s systems
• Supporting the annual rate review process, including data preparation and communication tracking
• Drafting and reviewing retainer agreements, modelling the impact of rate and resource changes
• Providing tailored reporting and support for high-value or complex matters
• Identifying and sharing opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency

Qualifications and experience:

• Part qualified CIMA or ACCA qualification
• A basic grounding in SQL and Power BI or similar applications.
• A basic understanding of legal pricing models, including alternative fee arrangements.
