Job Description - Interim Compliance Manager

Compliance Manager

About the Role:
I am looking for a Risk & Compliance Manager to support and strengthen risk management and compliance practices across the UK business. This role is vital in fostering a culture of risk and privacy awareness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in our control environment. You’ll play a key role in business change initiatives, regulatory reporting, and our evolving AI strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and embed the Risk Management Framework (RMF) across the business to help identify, manage, and mitigate key risks.
Oversee the breaches and issues process, ensuring accurate reporting and driving root cause resolution.
Support the production of high-quality Risk & Compliance reports for the Board, including Consumer Duty reporting.
Collaborate with the Senior Compliance Manager to ensure regulatory requirements (including FCA and Consumer Duty) are reflected in business practices.
Provide timely and constructive challenge on risk and compliance issues to strengthen the control environment and safeguard customer and business outcomes.
Act as a key stakeholder on business change projects, offering risk management advice and challenge.
Lead by example, championing company values and promoting a strong compliance culture.
Develop and manage the data protection framework, enhancing privacy risk awareness and controls.
Contribute proactively to the company’s AI strategy and governance, representing Risk & Compliance on the AI Council.

Skills & Experience:

Experience in risk management and compliance within a regulated environment.
Strong understanding of FCA regulations, including Consumer Duty.
Proven ability to produce and interpret risk reports for senior leadership.
Knowledge of data protection principles and privacy risk management.
Confident communicator and collaborative stakeholder.
Forward-thinking mindset with an interest in emerging tech, such as AI.
