We are seeking an Interim Director of Finance who will lead our public sector organisation's accounting and finance department, providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring robust fiscal management.

• Overseeing the Accounting & Finance department.
• Developing and implementing strategic financial plans.
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff.
• Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends.
• Managing budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Leading and developing finance teams.

Profile

A successful Interim Director of Finance should have:

• A proffesional accountancy qualification is essential - eg ACCA, ICAS, CIMA etc
• An academic background in Finance, Accounting or similar field.
• Proven leadership skills in a public sector setting.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Excellent understanding of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
• Superior analytical skills to evaluate financial operations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
