Interim Finance Consultant

We are seeking an Interim Finance Consultant who will be pivotal in delivering financial guidance. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of financial management services to support the Accounting & Finance Department to support projects, Audit and process improvements.

Our client is a medium-sized, Think Tank based in London. They are looking for people with Audit or Practice experience and someone who is ideally ACA qualified.

Description

• Take full ownership of the balance sheet, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations, integrity of financial data, and complete substantiation of all balances
• Drive enhancements in balance sheet reporting by implementing best-practice templates, providing training, upskilling team members, and embedding consistent routines and improved ways of working
• Oversee the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations-stepping in hands-on when needed
• Lead the month-end reporting cycle and implement process improvements to achieve a streamlined five-day close
• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial reports for review by senior stakeholders
• Conduct variance analysis and performance reviews to provide actionable financial insights
• Strengthen and maintain robust financial control processes, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and governance frameworks

Profile

• ACA Qualified, or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on management accounting and financial analysis.
• Experience working in a global organisation with exposure to multiple currencies and international operations.
• Workday knowledge desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Proven leadership ability with experience in managing and developing a team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Job Offer

• A competitive daily rate of 600-700pd depending on experience.
• Hybrid working - 2 days in
• 6 Months Minimum
