Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking for your next challenge? We're working with a well-established business in Northampton who are seeking an immediately available interim Financial Controller to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis.

As Interim Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting the business through a period of change, ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting, and leading a small finance team. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and be a hands-on part of the month-end process and forecasting cycle.

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes

• Deliver accurate management accounts and financial reports

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls

• Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring deadlines are met

• Liaise with external auditors and advisors

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

• Previous experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance lead

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial acumen

• Comfortable in a hands-on role with the ability to hit the ground running

• Must be immediately available

• Must live locally to Northampton or within commutable distance

• Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 (pro rata)

• Fixed-term contract: 6-12 months
