Interim Finance Director

Distinct is proud to be partnering with a Nottinghamshire business in its search for an interim finance director. The organisation has a national presence and operates in the Service industry. The position is for three months and you will work from their Nottingham offices.

As interim finance director, you will provide strategic financial leadership and operational oversight during a transitional period. This role is critical in ensuring business continuity, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting key decision-making across the organisation.

You can:

• Lead the finance team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Maintain and improve internal controls and compliance processes
• Manage external relationships with auditors, banks, and key stakeholders

Background:

• Proven experience as an interim Finance Director and prior experience working as a contractor
• Ability to lead during times of change
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification preferred
• SME background
