Interim Finance Manager, 12 - 15 month FTC

You're a Finance Manager. You've been around long enough to know what a "standalone role" really means.

No team. No layers. No hiding places.

This is one of those roles. An owner-managed, £10m turnover manufacturing business based in the Hillsborough area of Sheffield. The kind of place where the MD still walks the floor and is on hand for quick decisions and daily catch ups.

They're looking for someone to hold the financial fort while their current Finance Manager goes on maternity leave. Roughly 12-15 months of full P&L responsibility, month-end, payroll, VAT, the works.

Yes, it's hands-on. But it's not chaos. The systems are in place. The books are clean. You'll be stepping into a business that values financial rigour and operational visibility but doesn't want a lecture on EBITDA over coffee.

The job?

• Own cashflow like it's your own bank account.
• Handle all the daily stuff: bank recs, invoices, payroll, VAT, pensions, management accounts.
• Keep the wheels turning with solid reporting, cost control, and compliance.
• Help keep their Sage system ticking over. Improve things where you can.
• Be the financial conscience of the business. (No pressure.)

You'll need to be comfortable as the sole finance voice in the room. Trusted, accurate, calm under pressure. And okay with the odd interruption - this is a live business, not a corporate ivory tower.
