We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Interim Finance Manager to join a fast-moving and well-established organisation based in Nottingham. This 6-month fixed-term opportunity is suited to a finance professional who can make an immediate impact and support the business through a period of transition, with the potential to extend beyond the initial term.

As Interim Finance Manager, you will take ownership of core financial processes including monthly management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, audit preparation and business partnering. You will play a critical role in improving controls, supporting strategic decisions and driving commercial awareness across the business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Interim Finance Manager will be a key point of contact for finance and non-finance stakeholders alike. You will bring strong technical knowledge, commercial understanding, and the confidence to operate at pace in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process as Interim Finance Manager, ensuring cross-functional input
• Manage cashflow forecasting and support working capital reporting
• Support the year-end process, including audit preparation and liaison with external auditors
• Strengthen internal controls and streamline financial processes
• Provide financial insight and support to operational teams as a finance business partner
• Prepare and present financial information to senior leadership
• Contribute to key projects, such as systems upgrades, process improvements or strategic reviews

Candidate Profile:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Prior experience working as a Finance Manager or Interim Finance Manager in a similar role
• Strong understanding of management reporting, commercial finance and technical accounting
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle or Netsuite
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financials to non-finance stakeholders
• A proactive approach, capable of working independently and meeting deadlines
• Previous interim experience as a Finance Manager is desirable but not essential
• Available immediately or on short notice
