Location: Chesterfield
Contract Type: 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Starting ASAP)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a growing SME based in Chesterfield to recruit a hands-on and experienced Finance Manager for a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to step into a key role within a dynamic business during a period of change and growth.

The Role:
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations with a particular focus on the production of accurate and timely management accounts. This is a varied and business-critical role that requires strong technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to support the wider team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts

• Cash flow forecasting and cost control analysis

• Budgeting and forecasting support, including developing financial models

• Detailed variance analysis and financial reporting for senior management

• Maintaining the fixed asset register

• Oversight of AP/AR functions and daily transactional activity

• Processing journals, VAT returns, and completing bank reconciliations

About You:
We’re looking for a confident and capable finance professional who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a similar management accounting or finance manager role

• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or QBE

• Strong Excel skills, including experience with financial modelling and analysis

• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to financial management

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
