Finance Manager - Interim
Location: Leicestershire | Day Rate: £250-350per day umbrella rate (inside IR35)| Contract Type: Interim

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Finance Manager to take ownership of financial management and reporting for central functions and high-value projects within a large, complex business.
This role is ideal for a qualified accountant with strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and a track record of leading and developing small finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial reporting, analysis and control for central services and critical projects (valued at £80m+ p.a.)
• Manage and develop a small finance team (2 direct reports)
• Review and finalise monthly actuals with functional heads; ensure timely month-end close
• Deliver accurate and insightful management accounts and balance sheet reviews
• Oversee the preparation of audit schedules, consolidation packs and tax submissions at year-end
• Support cash flow forecasting, invoice/payment approvals, and intercompany recharging processes
• Collaborate with FP&A and Group Reporting teams to support forecasting and external audit requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies

About You:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Proven experience in financial reporting and operational finance leadership
• Strong people manager with the ability to coach and develop others
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Highly numerate, detail-focused and commercially minded
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
• Experience in large organisations/group business or project-based industries is desirable

NB: this role requires someone to be available immediately or at short notice, as it is an interim role for c3mnths+, plus will include a hand over. They also offer hybrid working of 3 days in the office.
