Interim Finance Manager

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, as Interim Finance Manager you will manage a team of two and play a pivotal role in maintaining the day-to-day running of the finance department. While this is initially a temporary role, there is potential for it to become permanent for the right candidate.

Description

• Management Accounts: Prepare and review monthly management accounts with accuracy and insight.
• VAT Compliance: Ensure timely and compliant VAT reporting and submissions.
• Cashflow Forecasting: Monitor and forecast cashflow to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Treasury Management: Oversee day-to-day treasury activities and ensure optimal cash utilisation.
• Investment Portfolio Oversight: Manage and report on the charity's investment portfolio.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with budget holders, providing financial guidance and education to improve financial literacy and accountability.

Profile

• Proven experience in at Finance Manager level.
• Strong technical knowledge across management accounting, VAT, and treasury.
• A hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved in day-to-day operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Navision, Great Plains, or Business Central would be beneficial, but is not essential.
• Should be available to start the week beginning 4th August 2025.

Job Offer

Initially this role will be offered on a day rate equivalent of between £50,000 and £60,000 dependent on experience
