Interim Finance Manager Charity

We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACCA,CIMA, ACA) with SORP experience to oversee financial matters within the Accounting & Finance department. The successful candidate will have a pivotal role in ensuring the financial stability of a prestigious educational institution.

Description

This position is based in Oxford, responsibilities include:

• Assist with Quarterly VAT Returns and the annual Partial Exemption adjustment

· Prepare and post endowment gains/losses and movement journals on a monthly and quarterly basis

· Prepare and post nominal ledger journals, including depreciation and ad-hoc adjustments

· Review creditors, debtors, and balance sheet items, making adjustments as necessary

· Support month-end routines, including analysis of variances and commentary against budget

· Post pension scheme and subsidiary journals

· Assist with statutory year-end accounts and respond to audit queries

· Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports for budget holders and senior managers

· Help prepare cashflow forecasts

Profile

You will be:

· A Qualified Accountant

· Can commute daily into central Oxford

· Confident working with journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting independently

· Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities

· Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software

· A good understanding of SORP
