This is a Housing organisation operating within the Lancashire area. As a medium-sized entity, it is committed to delivering impactful services to the community while maintaining robust financial practices.
Description
The role will oversee the production of accurate and timely management information to stakeholders, so they are well-informed with timely financial information in relation to operations. This will be done by creating, developing, and improving existing management information for Calico Homes to support improving the understanding of non-financial managers and the key performance indicators effecting their business.
The role will lead and oversee the setting realistic and challenging budgets with detailed information that allows for successful budget monitoring and reporting so that the business performs as per agreed expectations. While developing and improving existing operational finance systems and processes. This will be done by ensuring they are efficient, effective, and fit for purpose for the users and your customers.
The Finance Manager is responsible for relevant Balance Sheets. Ensuring adequate financial controls are in place and that all balance sheet account reconciliations are carried out in a timely manner with discrepancies being investigated and resolved you will give accurate information to all stakeholders, and we are operating within Group and legal requirements
You and your team will support with providing assurance against all regulatory and legislative requirements including delivery of annual statutory accounts. This will include building solid relationships with our internal and external auditors to deliver strong internal controls ensuring the accuracy of our financial information.
Profile
The successful Interim Finance Manager should have:
· A professional qualification in accounting (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Experience
· Substantial accountancy experience within a similar environment including the production of Management Accounts
· Experience of working with Operational teams to develop financial information
· Experience of budget setting and the development of detailed financial forecasts
· Team management and motivation to deliver high levels of staff engagement
· A good understanding of Financial Accounts
