Interim Finance Systems Lead (Qualified Accountant) FTC 6 months

Are you a qualified finance professional with a passion for systems development and data accuracy? We’re seeking a Finance Systems Lead to take ownership of production systems and reporting processes within a dynamic, evolving organisation based in Poole.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and IT, and is ideal for someone who enjoys streamlining systems, improving data integrity, and supporting continuous improvement across financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop production systems that integrate seamlessly with finance processes and organisational needs
• Collaborate with production and operational teams to deliver and implement system improvements
• Identify and resolve system issues in partnership with internal teams and IT stakeholders
• Enhance the quality, consistency, and accuracy of data reporting
• Support end users and provide training or guidance where needed
• Produce documentation for current-state systems and business requirements
• Liaise with external vendors to ensure optimal service and value
• Ensure transactional and senior finance teams operate efficiently, with a focus on service delivery and improvement

What we are looking for:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
• Proven experience in a similar finance systems or data-focused role
• Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and challenging decisions constructively
• Excellent communicator and presenter, both written and verbal
• Collaborative team player with high ethical standards
• A track record of driving continuous improvement and optimising performance
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills with excellent attention to detail
