Immediate start - Financial Accountant - Manchester - Up to 4 months contract

We are supporting a dynamic, high-profile venue business in Manchester in their search for an Interim Financial Accountant to support the team through a busy period. This is a critical role focused on ensuring financial reporting integrity, supporting audit readiness, and assisting in month-end processes during a period of rapid operational scale and high transactional volume.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented accountant with strong technical skills and the ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reporting
• Maintain fixed asset registers, accruals, prepayments, and other core accounting schedules
• Support statutory and regulatory reporting as required
• Help embed and refine financial controls and processes in a fast-scaling environment
• Provide ad hoc support on financial projects and reporting enhancements

About You

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong financial accounting and month-end close experience
• Confident managing reconciliations, journals, and statutory reporting
• Audit experience (either in practice or industry) is highly desirable
• Ability to work with large volumes of data and tight deadlines
• Experience in the venues, events, hospitality, or retail sectors is advantageous
• Comfortable working across multiple systems and with cross-functional teams
• Experience with NetSuite (Preferred but not essential)
