Elevation Recruitment Group is excited to be partnering with a highly respected organisation based in Sheffield to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant for a critical 2-month fixed-term contract. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on, technically strong finance professional with experience in statutory reporting and year-end processes, who is available to start immediately.

This interim role will play a vital part in delivering the Group’s year-end process, statutory accounts, and preparation for the external audit. You’ll also provide support to core finance operations, ensuring continuity, compliance, and the integrity of internal financial controls.

• Lead the Group’s year-end close and statutory accounts preparation in line with FRS102.

• Act as the key liaison for external auditors, managing audit planning and deliverables.

• Oversee reconciliation of key transactions including payroll, bank, intercompany, AR/AP ledgers.

• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all income sources against accounting policies.

• Provide technical support to the finance team in the absence of the Group Finance Manager.

• Ensure timely delivery of financial operations across AR, AP, and payroll.

• Uphold internal controls and implement audit recommendations.

• Maintain finance documentation and control frameworks aligned with best practice.

• Identify and implement process improvements within finance operations.

• Support ongoing and ad-hoc finance projects during the assignment period.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).

• Strong technical knowledge of FRS102 and statutory reporting.

• Experience in leading year-end processes and managing external audits.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Immediately available or available at short notice.
