Financial Accountant (Interim - 3 to 6 months)

You're a Financial Accountant. You've done your time in spreadsheets, wrestled with payroll journals, and battled through bank recs with one hand while closing the accounts pack with the other.

You're not looking for a career-defining role right now. You just want a solid gig that pays well, respects your time, and lets you crack on without three layers of unnecessary sign-off from someone who doesn't know the difference between a debit and a doughnut.

This is that gig.

A £200m manufacturing business in Wakefield needs someone to parachute into their finance team while one of their crew goes off on a secondment. The assignment will run for 3-6 months, and they need someone who knows their stuff and can get stuck in from day one.

You'll be covering:

• Bank reconciliations

• Payroll journals

• Prepayments & accruals

• Management accounts packs

• Capex tracking

• Transport and warehouse cost analysis (it's sexier than it sounds)

• Ledger management

• Tax and statutory reporting

• P&L ownership

• And probably a bit of everything else, because finance never really stays in its lane, does it?

They use Microsoft Dynamics 365 - if you've used it before, that's a big tick. If not, but you pick up systems faster than a toddler picks up germs at soft play, you'll probably be fine.

This is a proper hands-on role. Sleeves rolled up, no fire-fighting (hopefully), no soul-crushing politics. Just good, honest accounting work with a finance team that actually knows what they're doing.
