interim Financial Accountant

SF Recruitment is seeking an interim Financial Accountant to support a fantastic Birmingham based organisation through year end.

This role requires an experienced Financial Accountant who has successfully navigated a complex year end close.

This is an urgent requirement lasting 3 months requiring candidates who are immediately available.

Key tasks:

- Completion of month end activities e.g. opening and closing accounting periods, preparing prepayment journals and other ad hoc journals
- Preparation/review of monthly accounts payable, accounts receivable and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining the asset register and lease models and preparing/reviewing monthly asset and lease reconciliations
- Preparation of VAT and Tax returns
- Preparation/review of and publication of statutory returns and transparency returns
- Support the preparation of the financial statements and notes within the Accounts
- Prepare and provide documentation to external auditors and working with them to resolve queries during the audit
- Support the preparation of the final accounts
- Support the analysis of current processes to identify and implement ways to improve processes and financial control
