Harmonic is delighted to be working exclusively with a rapidly scaling Creative Agency Group looking for an Interim Financial Accountant to support their continued expansion. This role will likely sit Outside IR35.

The Client

With a current turnover of £10 million and plans to scale to £15-20 million this year, this fast-growing creative agency group is home to a talented team of 50 and expanding rapidly. Specialising in innovative marketing and creative services, they partner with top-tier clients to deliver award winning campaigns, events, and exhibitions.

Renowned for their dynamic and collaborative culture, they are seeking an experienced Group Financial Accountant to support the CFO.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of the group, with an additional focus on leading on year end and audit. As well as overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, including treasury, tax, and managing the Accounts Assistant, the role will also be responsible for preparing the statutory financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end accounting processes including balance sheet preparation, journal postings, and reconciliation of key accounts.
• Oversee daily and weekly cash management activities, including cashflow forecasting and investment tracking.
• Act as the finance lead for the company's foreign entity, working with local accountants to review monthly reports, manage funding, and oversee compliance.
• Support the preparation of tax filings and submissions, including VAT returns, R&D tax credit claims, and corporation tax.
• Maintain oversight of accounts payable processes, including reviewing payment runs, bank reconciliations, and supplier data.
• Oversee year end and audit process, acting as main point of contact during this process
• Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

What we need to see (Essential):

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience as a Group Accountant or similar role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

What we need to see (Bonus):

• Creative agency experience (Marketing / PR / Comms)

Day Rate: £350-£400 per day (Outside IR35)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Hybrid (London-based, with flexible remote working options)

Contract Length: 6 months with potential to extend and transfer to permanent.
