The Client

Harmonic are excited to be partnering with a SaaS start-up who are in the process of landing an impressive Series C fundraise from top tier investors, to find them an excellent Financial Accountant, working directly with the CFO. Initially a 6-month FTC, there is a strong likelihood of going permanent thereafter.

With a truly innovative, and award-winning solution in the incredibly 'hot' Dev Ops and Big Data space, this ranks as one of the world's fastest growing open-source start-ups. Both the Series A and B rounds are led by top tier VC investors who have backed a number of global success stories in the last 5 years! Clients include some of the world's largest Tech companies, consumer businesses and sports organisations.

Our client has international offices in the US, UK and Europe and is set for rapid expansion with ARR forecasted to reach $40m in 2025. They have achieved profitability in early 2025 and are expecting to raise a Series C in excess of $75m.

They have a team of bright, passionate people with experience in leading Tech and SaaS scale-ups who are motivated to build the next open-source success story.

The Role

The Financial Accountant will be hands on with the day-to-day running of the finance function, including monthly management and stat accounts. They also require someone hands on who is able to get into the detail within a rapidly growing SaaS scale-up to ensure the finance function is robust and ready for scaling.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of year end statutory reporting.
• Contributing to year end close and reconciliations.
• Develop a suite of management reports with insights and detailed analysis.
• Build and embed efficient internal processes.
• Support with future ERP implementation projects.
• Ad hoc project based work for the CFO.

Essential Skills

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Finalist.
• 1-3 years PQE
• Excellent communication skills.
• Either newly qualified straight of audit or several years industry experience.
• Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue learning.
• Ability to be adaptable and take on a wide range of responsibilities.
• Problem solver with an analytical mindset.
• Available Immediately or on short notice.

Bonus Experience

• Experience in a dynamic start-up or scale-up, ideally SaaS or Tech.
• Previously used QuickBooks accounting software.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 pro-rata for a 6-month contract

Location London (2-3 days per week in office)

Start Date Within 2 weeks.
