Interim Financial Controller - 6 month contract

£400-£450 per day (inside IR35)

London

I am partnered with a rapidly scaling PE backed FinTech business who are experiencing organic growth due to expansion into new International markets and are currently seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join on a 6 month interimcontract.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, annual financial statements and regulatory reporting
• Ownership and review of month end close, cost accounting and overseeing the accounts payable function
• Working on intercompany balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing month end transactions and ensuring records on all financial transactions
• Developing balance sheet procedures, monthly reconciliations, and collating financial data for preparation of corporation tax and VAT returns to ensure compliance with tax legislation
• Oversee the company payroll process and work with the FinOps Team to ensure smooth completion
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, outsourced accounting providers and liaising with regional offices

About you

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CAANZ/CA qualified - experience from big 4/top 10 is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
• Previous experience working in FinTech/SaaS/Tech/Financial Services/Banking industry is ESSENTIAL
• Able to work in a fast paced, start-up environment, build relationships with senior stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and data driven
• Experience with SAP and Xero is highly desirable
