Interim Financial Controller

Long standing manufacturing/ FMCG business based in Cheshire is looking for an interim Financial Controller for a period of 3 - 5 months.

Description

To lead the delivery of the accounting operation, inckuding the production of the monthly financial reporting, maintenance of accounting records, cash flow forecasting, balance sheet reviews and leading the annual budget. You will lead and be the key contact point for the annual financial audit and any other periodic financial audits.

• Manage and oversee all financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Provide insightful analysis to support decision-making across the organisation.
• Lead cash flow forecasting and budget preparation activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
• Supervise and guide the accounting team to achieve departmental goals.
• Manage external audits and liaise with external stakeholders as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function.

Profile

• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Experience in Manufacturing and or FMCG industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and compliance.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a finance team effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Available to start immediately

Job Offer

The role offers a salary of circa £65,000 - £80,000 or a day rate would be considered. Role also offers additional benefits including 1 day a week from home.
